Upgrading AP to PAP With 1 Week Remaining

Hello,
If you have 8 days remaining on an AP and go to Guest Services in Downtown Disney can they upgrade the AP to a PAP since it only has 8 days remaining? How much would they charge if they can upgrade it? I will be in this situation and wonder if anyone else has done this in the past.

A new PAP is $548.49/$466.49 vs. $420.68/$357.84 for the regular AP at 2005 prices. (I'm sure you paid less when you bought yours.). Even if you could upgrade to a PAP, you're much better off buying annual passes for the water parks ($106.45/$85.73) and/or Pleasure Island ($59.59).

They are able to if you are willing to pay the $120 price difference to use it for 8 days. There is no prorating done at any time on this upgrade. You pay the full price difference.
