Upgrading AP to PAP using MYW Base Tix?

Hi,

I wasn't sure where to post this so please move if its the wrong place!!

I currently have an annual pass that i got in June. We are going back in Sep and had to buy 2 one day MYW base tickets to qualify for free dining.

I know you can upgrade these to other tickets but can i use the value of these to upgrade our AP's to PAP's?

Or Can I upgrade a one day MYW pass to an Annual Water Park Pass? I worked out the difference to only be about $40 so this would be the cheapest! We plan on going to the water parks 2 - 3 times so trying to work out what would be cheapest!!

You should be able to do either at any Guest Relations location.

You cannot do either at your Disney resort's Lobby Concierge.

It might be more adventageous to upgrade the AP to a PAP since the cost is roughly equal. That way you would have a single ticket to get you into everywhere. If you opt for the water parks AP, it will be a separate ticket and then you will each have two tickets to take care of. Only advantage of getting the water park AP is that you'll have a full year to use it. When you upgrade your AP to PAP, The PAP will retain the original expiration date of that AP.

Thanks for the reply! I was hoping it was possible to do! I think we will do it to PAP as then we will have access to P.I. and DQ too.

No and yes.

(RE: the premium AP) You may not upgrade one ticket by turning in another ticket to get value out of, that is you cannot take the two base tickets and your AP and come away with a PAP.

(RE: the water parks) You can trade in one (only one) unused ticket (such as a base park ticket) towards each ticket of a different kind (water park annual pass) and add more cash if needed but no change is returned if what you want would have cost less.
