I'm 90% certain we will go to WDW next December as well as this one, so I am leaning toward purchasing an AP. This Dec, due to work schedules, we are only able to be there a week, and we are taking the 3 day cruise, so our park time is really only 5 days. Hence, I don't think we'll need the PAP. However, next Dec. I want to stay for 2 weeks and that will give us time to do the other things.

Can we pay the pro-rated difference between the AP and PAP next Dec? (There will only be 2 weeks left on the pass when we get there.) I have read that they used to do this but are cracking down. Doesn't seem right that I can pay $5 to upgrade for 2 weeks. And I have no problem paying for a visit to DQ or Typhoon Lagoon a la carte if I have to, but it would be *really* nice to be able to upgrade for cheap.

Anyone have any recent experience with this??

Thanks!

You can pay the difference between an AP and a PAP, but not the difference between 2 weeks of an AP and 2 weeks of a PAP... I don't think there's even a way to process that the way upgrades are set on the ticketing system.

Steve's correct. Big surprise that a sometimes Guest Relations CM should be correct, huh? ;)

Even if you want to get the PAP for the final two weeks that your AP is valid, you will be required to pay the entire price difference between the two passes (currently $120 plus tax). They do not prorate on AP's.
