We are here at Disney now and the kids wanted to do water park today and we planned to go again on Sunday so when we got to typhoon lagoon today to upgrade they said it was $106 per person more. I had done the math at home before the trip in case we wanted to add it and without my notes here with me I can’t say exact amount but it was only about $30 something per person.
The CM said it was because ticket prices have gone up since we got our package. But I really feel like I checked this at home not too long before trip. I’m sure I’m wrong and they are right but wanted to know if this sounds right?

WHEN did you do the booking for your trip?

Regardless, I'll assume that it was within the last 6-9 months...

EDIT:
My first calculation did not include TAX on the WDW new price,
So, what I have come up with is (using a "busy time" new ticket)
your upgrade should be just under $60 per person.

Almost half of what you were quoted.

the cost to upgrade SHOULD be about $30 per ticket.
Tickets changed October. They probably bought before tiered pricing. If they want to upgrade now they would have to get the new tiered tickets and holidays are peak. So, they are probably quite a bit more.

I did the actual upgrade computation based on "mid-2018" pricing for the original tickets... AND, the current highest-priced tickets.

I booked in June 2018.

Also we went to concierge at our hotel (pop) and they told us that that the water park was correct and we were wrong. But everything I had looked at when pricing it over and over before the trip it wasn’t anywhere near $106 per person. I would have added it sooner but you just never know with Nov weather.

Even though it’s not helping my issue it does make me feel a little better knowing I’m not crazy about my math.

We ended up just buying one day park tickets and ditching plans to go a 2nd time because I didn’t want to spend $106 per person. So we ended up spending $190 total for one day for 3 people when I was expecting around $100 for the water park and more. DH wasnt happy about the price but my son had been looking forward to it and we hadn’t done it in years plus the parks are so crowded but water park wasn’t.

your WP upgrade to your Theme park tickets should be just under $60 per person.

Almost half of what you were quoted.

I don't know if it's worth it to you to spend the time to try to get this fixed,
(and make a 2nd WP visit if that's what you'd like) but you could try.
