Upgrading Air Miles ticket?

I am hoping someone has experience upgrading an air miles 3 day or 7 day pass to an annual passholder ticket?
Looking at all options to save money with the terrible exchange rate. We have been annual passholders for the past 2 years. It is really really expensive especially now. But we go multiple times a year so it is the wisest choice for us. Does anyone know how much it costs out of pocket to upgrade an air miles ticket? Or to upgrade to a 10 day pass?

I've been upgrading AM tickets for approx. the last 8 years. I've never upgraded to an AP though. All you do is enter a park with the ticket (you must enter a park first) and then go to GR and upgrade the ticket. The price you pay will be the difference between the gate price on the 3 or 7 day ticket and the AP. Very simple.

Thanks for your reply! I was nervous about cashing in literally all of my airmiles and then arriving at Disney World to find out the ticket couldn't be upgraded!
Any idea how much a 3, 5 or 7 day Air Miles ticket is worth? I am trying to get an idea of how much I have to pay out of pocket at the gate. DW customer service didn't know.

I'm updating budget #'s so here goes 3 day adult $292.38, 5 day adult $335.48, 7 day adult $356.78. These are all base tickets comparable to the ones you get with airmiles. The cost of an annual pass (base one) is $780. Hope this helps. There are lots of different websites out there where you can confirm current Disney ticket prices. PM me if you need me to mention them specifically I can't remember which ones we're allowed to mention here.
