Upgrading accomodations

I have an existing reservation through a DVC member. Would like to upgrade to a 1 BR and was wondering if I could buy pts from another member or do I have to go through the same member. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your post has been edited as your cannot list here details for seeking rentals. That may only be done on our DVC Rent/Trade Board.

There is no "upgrading" via DVC. Reservations that are made as rentals are pretty much final transactions anyway. You will need to call the member you rented from right away if you have questions regarding their own policy on making any changes or cancelling.

Actually you can't upgrade an existing reservation that way but you could alter the reservation with the aid of the person you've rented from and a new person. For sake of discussion assume you have 5 nights in a studio and want those same 5 nights in a 1 BR. You could change your existing reservation to say 3 nights withe the person you're with now, add the 2 additional nights via another person and then link the 2. You need to make sure they're the same unit and booking category.

But there may be no vacancy for the type of villa you want to upgrade to. Talk to the member you rented your points from. Anything that needs to be done will have to be done by them.
