Upgrading a 3 day ticket to Annual Pass

Sorry if this has been asked before. My son and I have the 3 day socal park hopper. I want to upgrade this to the So.Cal Annual Pass but is it possible to do the monthly payments Disneyland Resort is offering? Thanks!!

I'm pretty sure it is, but be aware of MMs and block out days before you upgrade (ex. don't upgrade day 1 or 2 if day 3 is blocked out or your MM day).

As long as you're a SoCal resident, you can do the monthly payment plan. NorCal residents are NOT eligible for the payment plan option.

As noted, make sure you upgrade to the pass after you've used up any of the freebies that come with the tickets (MM, etc.). Keep in mind that once you upgrade, you get all the perks(parking if applicable, food discounts, merchandise if you have a premium), but those discounts are not retroactive.

Your best bet is to figure out whether or not the ticket perks (MM)are worth more than the AP perks(discounts) and upgrade accordingly. If staying onsite at one of the three DLR hotels, you get MM for every morning of your stay that it's offered.

Thanks for the replies. So is it possible to upgrade on Day 3? Can I use the park hopper to get into the park and upgrade it? If I upgrade it at Disneyland will I be able to park hop at DCA since it is a blackout day for the So.Cal passport?

Yes day 3.
Yes you can get in and then upgrade.
Yes they let you stay and hop when you buy or upgrade to an AP on a blockout day.

And you do want to do the upgrade inside of DL, because that's where they have the cameras to take the picture that goes on your AP!

Keep in mind that once you upgrade, you get all the perks(parking if applicable, food discounts, merchandise if you have a premium), but those discounts are not retroactive.

Keep your receipts for parking and the cost can also be applied to the AP if you purchase an AP with parking.
