Upgrading 8 day parkhopper to Annual Pass?

Hi there,
Question regarding 8 day park hopper passes. If we decided that we wanted to upgrade from the 8 day to an annual pass what value would be applied to these as they are not sold at the gate? Does anyone know?

The price you paid for the tickets will be encoded on the tickets. You will pay the difference between that price and the AP you get.

Ooh...unless something has changed, that's not true. In exchange for their kindness of letting us upgraded used tickets, they backdate the APs to the first day you used that ticket. So when we used our tickets on September 18 and upgraded on the 20th, our APs were backdated to the 18th.

Nope, wrong info. Upgrade on the last day only if you will be blacked out on the AP you want to upgrade to. For instance, many Saturdays are blacked out this summer for the Deluxe APs, if you wanted to get one of those then make sure all your blackout days have passed, otherwise you will have to pay a blackout ticket fee to get in.
