Upgrading 6 day ticket to 7 day

I have read some post on here about people going to the ticket booths and adding one more day onto their 6 day tickets creating a 7th day. One person in particular did this to 4 of their tickets for $20. My mother and I are thinking about doing this for $5 more and spending our first day in the park. We will not arrive until later and didn't want to waste a whole day. Have lots of people done this??? We want to spend as much time in the park as we can. Thanks

You have to go to a ticket window and see what the difference in price will be! It all depends on how much your ticket was, they apply the value to the new ticket!

That is great! Probably another reason I should book my original 6 day ticket through the disney website. Not sure if they will do that if we purchase them online through a different website. I don't want to take any chances not knowing until we get there. I might try calling tomorrow to see if someone can tell me how much extra???
