My DH and I were all set to check into a studio at SSR on Friday with the AP discount, which included a free $100 dining credit. We are running the the ToT 13K on Sat. 
I checked this morning by clicking on the reservation link they emailed me when I made the reservation months ago. Everything looked in order, studio, four nights, etc. About an hour later, I got an email from CRO that looked exactly like the one I got months ago. I thought...oh, they are just confirming my reservation because it is within the 5 days out window. Clicked on the link, everything is the same, except it says one bedroom. Called CRO and they said that the price was the same, same balance due, but yes, one bedroom. Has anyone else had this happen to them? I have not. If there is someone who gets worse rooms than me, I'd like to meet them. Can you believe it?? So very excited!!! I love one bedrooms, but the cost in dollars or points (for 2 people) is usually too much to take.
OK, I may be going too far at this point, but here's a qn...do you think we can count on this really happening? Our friends are also going down for the race, but don't have APs and as such, CBR was more in their budget. However, I would love us to stay together. I was thinking that they could cancel their reservation and pay the one night penalty and then stay with us in our spacious one bedroom, if I added them to the reservation. I just would hate to do that, and given my luck with hotel rooms, get there and find out I was where I should have been all along...a studio. I don't want to be together that much. I'm guessing advice will be that I shouldn't be counting my upgrade chickens before they hatch and leave our friends over at CBR.
