Disney called our
Travel Agent 8 days before our cruise. We had our documents already, with the original cabin number. They told us to put the new cabin number on our luggage tags.
We were upgraded from category 10 (outside with porthole on deck 2) to category 6 (verandah on deck 7).....exactly the same cabin size inside, but with the verandah, and 5 decks higher. According to the published rate, this would have cost $1600 more if we had paid for it.
Verandah was wonderful, however, not worth $1600. I base that comment on the fact that if you can go off season, on other lines an entire family of 4 can go on a cruise for $1600. My mom got a deal earlier this year on Celebrity's Mercury, 7 days for $399 per person.
