Upgrade with SPG points?

We're staying at the Swan 12/9-12/13/04. I have over 4000 pts for an upgrade to Club Level. I called yesterday and the resort is full and there's no availability for Club Level.

Here's my question, I'll try again at 5 days out, to see if there is anything available, I'll try again at check-in.

Is there a possibility of getting club access, from a regular room, or don't they do that?

Isn't the upgrade 4,000 points per night? I know the resort is running a Mousefest special that week for $99/night, so they might be booked.

I have the mousefest rate for 3 of my 4 nights...My nightly average is $126.50...Which I think is great.!


Anyone know if we can upgrade with pts and stay on a different floor, but still get club privileges?

I have read that people have stayed on another floor and had CL privileges, but I don't think it's a given. If too many people have CL privileges, then it gets too crowded, they run out of food, etc.

1,000 points a night to upgrade--that's good to know. We have 4,000 points too.
