Upgrade to Park Hopper Mid Week?

I feel like this question must have been answered a million times before, but I could not find it using the search function.

If I have a 7-day MYW base pass, after three days, could I upgrade to a Park Hopper pass? If so, would I be paying for 7 days of PH or just 4 days of PH?

Doesn't matter, its $55 for any ticket 2-10 days. Now if you are talking NE its for 7.

You can upgrade with no problem. As far as I've been told though, it would be for the entire ticket; you'd go from a 7 day base to 7 day hopper. HTH

No need to upgrade, I'll just buy a 7-day PH.

Not stupid at all. A lot of newbies are confused by all of the options. All you really need to know is that PHs, WP&M, Non-expiry are all options. And the options are each a flat add on fee. So you can add them at any time before your base (MYW) ticket expires. That's why we never buy PHs before our visit. We know we can add the option later IF we need it. If we don't (and we haven't yet) need it, then we've saved enough for a really nice dinner or souvenir during the visit.

Actually its asked a lot. I have responded to two today. This one and someone asking a similar question about park hopping and two days tickets.

The cost to add hopping (or WPF&M) is $55 ($58.58 including tax) per ticket. It does not matter if it is adult or child, two day or ten days, first day of use or last day of use, the price is the same. (For a Florida Resident it is $27.50 plus tax.)

Note that to add hopping to a one day ticket is $35 ($37.28 including tax)

So if you are not sure, don't order them. If you find you do need them, then upgrade your tickets at any ticket window or Guest Relations Office. It only takes a minute or so.

I'm actually not a "newbie," so it is a stupid question.

We regularly buy 10-day Park Hopper No Expiration passes, but this time I'm going for a longer period of time, so it's less per day to just buy a 7-day. I'm not going to be hopping for the first half of the week, but I will be for the second. I've heard of people "upgrading" their tickets, so I just wasn't sure if it was less expensive to upgrade mid-week. Now I feel ignorant for not doing a little research first.
