Upgrade to concierge?

Has anyone ask for an upgrade to conc.? And if so how much more does it cost, or if they have unfilled rooms will they offer them at a discount?
Is is worth asking for any upgrade? I don't want to sound foolish, just by asking.

In general, they do not give out free upgrades to concierge. If you want to stay in concierge, I would suggest trying to find a discount for your travel dates and paying for it.

Of all the years on the boards I have only read about a very few being upgraded, and it was mostly due to overbooking.

but we have been upgraded to water views before at the moderates with paying only for a std view.

We're also hoping to upgrade to conceirge when we arrive there. We can only get discounts for our 3rd and 4th nights. I'm not willing to pay more than $200 more/night just for conceirge, so I'm hoping they can offer us some type of discount when we arrive.

I'm by no means expecting to get a free upgrade to conceirge, but hopefully if there are empty rooms, they will offer them to us for the same price we're paying for the other two nights conceirge. Has anyone ever had something like that happen?

We upgraded to concierge at check in last December. I just asked how much it would cost to upgrade. It was very reasonable, so we took it. It could have been because things were a little slow then.

It wouldn't hurt to ask. If it costs too much or isn't available, you still have what you booked.

Thanks, that's exactly what I was hoping for. Now I'll just keep my fingers crossed, because I don't feel like switching twice in 4 days.
