I was wondering if any of you think this is worth the upgrade. It would be approximately $1140 to upgrade for the 5 nights we are going to be at the DL hotel. There will be 3 of us (all adults). My husband, myself and 19 yr old son. This is with the fall promo-we are booked in the deluxe category now. Is it worth it, to those who have stayed? It comes out to $229 more per night. The only thing left was premium view, that's why it's so much more expensive.

Thank you!

Do you have dietary restrictions? Will you partake in all the offerings? Will you spend time in the lounge? They have board games and movies to rent ; will those be of use to you? Will you take time from the parks to be there in the lounge to help make it worth the extra?

If not, don't bother. Concierge level is nice but it's not THAT nice IMO. But we do have dietary restrictions and don't like leaving the parks to to get "free" food and drink. Our dollar limit for a concierge/club upgrade takes that into consideration.

The classic "club" question here- is it worth it? Classic answer "it depends".

Personally, if you're looking to consume that dollars worth of food I'd say no. The only meal replacement is a continental breakfast (unless you're an eggs & bacon type person in which case you'll still be hungry). It provides light snacks through the day with sodas and juices available as well and then warm evening appetizers with complimentary beer and wine. The appetizers are enough to get me to do a light dinner but they do not make a dinner on their own. There are cordials and deserts available at night until 10pm (I think, it's been awhile since we did this and we were almost always back from the parks too late for desert).

Our conclusion was if one is looking for their "money's worth" we wouldn't do it, you can just as easily bring your own stuff for doing breakfast/snacks/bottle of wine or some people order room service to split in the morning. However, when we're looking for a more relaxing trip and know we will be returning in the afternoons to the hotel the extra pampering was nice when it was in the budget. Ultimately, it comes down to what are you looking for in the trip? Relaxation? Bang for your buck? What is your day like? Do you return to your room during the day? CL also offered concierge services but honestly we didn't really get much out of that, they changed a couple dinner reservations (nice that I didn't have to make the call, but I totally could have) but there wasn't anything else we needed them to do -oh, and they provide a priority check-in on arrival which was nice.

We consider CL to be "extra pampering", and when we did it the main thing we paid for was the convenience and the time we would have spent buying snacks and drinks in line, buying stuff before we left home to bring on the trip, etc. On the one hand, if the cost is a tough hit on your trip budget, no it isn't worth it- that much money could get you some great meals or more. On the other hand, if you want to kick back and relax and not worry about the hour to hour eating desires of everyone and want some extra space to unwind while at the hotel go for it.

Very well said!!!

The worth of a dollar is so subjective. We love club service and it makes our trip Soooooo enjoyable. With 9 of us I probably could make a case that for the $17 per person or so extra a day we spend on the service that we will eat/drink enough to make it "worth it" but that isn't why we like it. It is mostly the convenience we like. Like the posted above said, we really like coming back to the hotel, stopping in for a drink and/or treat, sitting and unwinding while we people watch etc. We do usually make breakfast out of the offerings and I think the snacks cut down on what we spend in the parks, but we still usually eat a late breakfast (11:00) and dinner. I'm a little OCD also and can't stand to have food and pop all over the room so it makes it nice that we can go there and snack and not have it in our room. We have watched the fireworks from there also and it is nice, but we still like to see them from the park at least once.

Again, if you try and make it a money issue you will most likely be disappointed, but if you are wanting a little added convenience it's the best!!! (and a good view never sucks)

Have a great trip.!
