Upgrade to AP from Last Minute Travel tickets?

Has anyone upgraded to an AP from their LMTC tickets? I'm assuming that you can but I just want to make sure before I buy them. Is there any reason why this is a bad idea? We are going in December for sure but might be going again in the spring so I want to have the option to upgrade once I know more. Thanks!!!

Usually you lose any discount you may have received in purchasing the tickets when you upgrade.

We just upgraded three tickets to APs, two from LMT and the third from Airmiles. I was credited the full value of the parkhoppers, $320 for each 4 day hopper.

I got our Park Hoppers through LMT and we'll be upgrading to annual passes on our last day (cause all the 5 days are block out days). I'll be interested to see what happens price-wise when we upgrade!

We did not use the tickets first before upgrading and received the full face value of our discounted tickets but as always YMMV.
