I have reservations at the CSR (moderate) for August. How much more per night to you think it would cost to upgrade to a deluxe per night? Do you think there is much of a difference between mods and deluxes? Please help because I am considering it. (especially because I am hearing that people are changing plans visiting Florida this year due to expected hurricanes - Florida tourism is dropping)

Know thyself. It would be worth the money to me. Not for my DH. DH can't stand to sit in a hotel room. I swear we could pay $2000 a night for a suite and he still would never stay in the room. I, on the other hand, LOVE a beautifully decorated room.

It is about $80-100 more a night to stay at either Wilderness or Animal Kingdom. Any other of the deluxes, you are looking at close to $200 to upgrade at minimum.

I am staying at CSR in October. I have stayed at the Polynesian and personally I am not sure if it is worth $350 a night, esp when you are at the parks all day. I think CSR has most ammentities if not more (hot tub, gym, salon) that most deluxes don't. I think the only luxury that the deluxes offer are queen beds, close proximity to the parks (not AKL though) and more restaurant choices.
If those are worth $100-200 for you then go for it :flower:

Here are my opinions on the advantages/disadvantages of each level:

Advantage of Value over Moderates and Deluxes
* Price.
* Food Courts for quick meals.
* Pop Century has its own bus.
* All Stars resorts share busses, but there is usually very little wait on either end.

Disadvantage of Values
* Small rooms.
* Large groups can sometimes be rowdy.
* No pool slide or hot tub.
* external corridors.
* Pizza delivery only.

Advantage of Moderate over Values
* Nicer feature pools with slides and hot tubs.
* Bigger rooms.
* Sit-down restaurants (all but POFQ).
* Real bars in main area plus pool bar, not just pool bar (except POP).
* Nicer food court, it's not just one big room.
* No giant icons.

Disadvantages of Moderates
* Can be spread out and most need an internal bus system.
* External corridors.
* Pizza delivery only.

Advantage of Deluxe over Moderates and Values
* Bigger rooms yet. Many can sleep 5 people.
* Large variety of sit-down restaurants.
* Nicer feature pools, many with zero entry.
* Internal corridors.
* All have sliding glass doors and most have balconies or patios.
* Most have special proximity to parks: monorail/boat to MK, walk/boat to
Epcot/MGM.
* Room service.
* Valet parking.

Disadvantage of Deluxes
* Epcot deluxes do not have snack shops for a quick meal, except the Beach Club Marketplace.
* Price.
* Busses are often shared, especially the Epcot resorts. The ride can take a long time.
* Self parking can be difficult, especially at the monorail hotels.

CSR is a great resort and very much like a deluxe, but with cheaper prices. We loved it there! It was my first choice for our upcoming trip, but it was already booked!
