Upgrade Request @ Pop

I read somewhere before that you can fax a request to your resort for an upgrade. We are going with another family we have already requested that we have connecting rooms. Shall we send another fax??

You can request an upgrade at any time - but you should expect to pay for it.

Connecting rooms is not an upgrade, so there is no extra charge for that. If you both have the request noted on your reservations, the resort will get the information. An extra fax probably won't do anything. When you arrive for check in, make sure to ask about it again and be a little flexible if you can. Often, if you can wait for a room, you will get your special request. Good luck with your request. You'll enjoy Pop.

We pay for preferred. That's our "upgrade". By doing this, we can usually choose from several rooms available at check-in time.

Connecting rooms is a request, not an upgrade. You have to pay for upgrades.
Regardless to which resort we've stayed at, we have ALWAYS sent a fax a few days prior to arrival Our requests have always been connecting rooms, non-smoking (haven't been since rooms went non-s) at Pop and the same plus 'any building but Trinidad South and Barbados' at CBR. The only time we didn't get ALL of our request was when we'd requested a king bed at Pop, and that was no big deal that we couldn't get it. Everytime, we ask to make sure they got the fax and everytime they've assured us they have. Maybe it didn't make a difference, but it didn't hurt.
