Upgrade Question

Has anyone ever been upgraded from Cat. 4 to Cat 3? Do they ever upgrade into the suites? Thanks.

i saw a post yesterday where someone said they got that very same upgrade the day before there trip. heck i hope i get a pixie dust filled upgrade. yeah right. i'm not that lucky

Yes there was a family on our 5-1 thread who originally booked a Cat 4 but about 2-3 weeks before we sailed they got comp upgraded to a Cat 3.

I was thinking about paying for an upgrade from our Cat 11 reservations on the 14 day repo (FLA to CA) to a CAt 5 (that balcony looks great) but I was afraid that I would lose the great price I got for calling right when the cruise went on sale and the price difference would reflect the price of a cat 5 NOW. If so, it would not be worth it to lose the early booking discount.

We were bumped from a Cat 4 to a Cat 3 when we were on the Wonder 2 years ago. We had a great time!

No, that is not true, if you wish to upgrade you will pay the difference of the early booking rate that you made ressies at the time, not today prices. I just upgrade from a cat 8 to cat 6 this morning and it reflected the early booking rate. I wouldn't be able to afford an upgrade with the prices that have now!! I only paid $800 more for the upgrade. Between the price i am paying of the early booking rate after the upgrade to today's fare that i looked up on the dinseycruise.com, there is a $2, 340.00 difference!!! I wanted a balcony so bad that it was worth the $800!! The only drawback is that you are not assigned to a cabin yet only a guarentee, so i know i will be somewhere on Deck 5 or 6.
