I have an annual park pass that expires in July and need to upgrade to water parks & more...Dsiney says I can bring it to Guest Relations - how do they charge? Also I have 7 day hopper pass and need to upgrade also to hopper & more pass...how is this done?

I believe you are talking about upgrading an annual pass to a premium annual pass. Disney will charge you the difference between the 2. Not sure what that amount is, but it may not be worth it if you're only planning on 1 or 2 trips to water parks.

There is a great sticky thread in this forum on anything ticket related. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1452684

In your case, you can upgrade your Annual Pass to a Premium Annual Pass at any Guest Relations by paying the difference between the two. Currently that is about $140. Your expiry date on the pass will not change.

The 7 Day MYW Park Hopper pass can also be upgraded as long as it is unused or is within 14 days of its first use. Disney will charge you the difference between your original ticket and the cost of what you are upgrading to. If you paid full Disney price for your original ticket, this will be about $54. If you paid a discounted price for the ticket, the advice I have seen on these boards says you should use one day on the ticket and then upgrade. If you trade in the unused ticket, Disney will only give you are credit of what you actually paid, but if you use it, they will credit you with the current undiscounted price.

Ditto.

You recieve full value for your ticket, even if it is partially used (or even FULLY used up) before you upgrade, as long as it is within 14 days of when it was first used.

Thursday I had someone come to my window at TL to upgrade some APs. He only had three months remaining on the APs and I told him it would be $128.87 per ticket and the expiration date would not change.

He did mention that the family was not interested in DQ or PI, so I suggested that instead he purchase Water Park APs for $106.45 (including tax) and they would be good for one full year. It would have the regular AP and the WP AP out of synch, but would save him money over upgrading to PAPs.
