Upgrade from POP Century to Moderate Resort Upgrade Methods??

Hello , Has anyone had any success upgrading from Pop Century to a Moderate resort? (with out paying the Full price diference? we do not mind paying some to move up *S*)......Any ideas would be most welcome....Thank You , Butch & Jackie Wheeler

Well I called to do that very thing with the BDP code that has expired, but they said they would check to see if they could move me. Unfortunately there was nothing available because I am close to my trip, and the allotment of rooms under the BDP code are taken everywhere.

I would call and see if there are any discounted rooms for a moderate. Don't ask for an upgrade, though... usually that is on rooms within the same resort. In going from a value to a moderate, there will definitely be a price difference, but perhaps you can luck into a good deal. Worth a shot, anyway.

actually yes, a while ago I had a hold on a value for DH and I. We went back and forth and i decided to change it to CSR. So I called to book and made the change to CSR and we confirmed the booking. A few days later I received a call from Disney stating there had been a computer error and when I switched resorts the price stayed the same, it should have increased. They honored the mistake but said if I needed to make any changes I had to call a manager because it would automatically change the pricing. If I wanted to add days they'd have to rebook it for the additional charges.

No, the only way that you will get a moderate for the price of a value is if they overbook the value resort and have to ask you to switch resorts.

You can obviously keep calling to try and get a good deal on the moderate. But I don't think you're going to get a moderate for a value price.
