Bonjour! We will be visiting relatives in Paris the last week of June (staying off site). It looks like June 24 or 25th would be the best days for us to go (crowd calendar says low, then the weekend is high, and the following week is mid). That means we would qualify for the mini tickets. However, our schedule is very flexible. Say it rains during the week but the weather will be good for the weekend. Could I upgrade the mini tickets to the magic tickets at the gate?

Also, it looks like it's cheaper to buy the tickets in euros than US dollars, and we can use our relatives' address. Do they mail or e-mail tickets? If it's emailed, how do you get a fastpass for an electronic ticket?

Also, do we need tickets to enter Disney Village and do activities/shopping/dining there?

We went to Disneyland Paris 3 years ago, and we went to Disney World (all 4 parks) last year. We have never been to the Paris Hollywood Studios, so we plan on going there to check out Ratatouille. I'm assuming we still need reservations for Bistro Chez Remy on a low day. Do you know their cancellation policy (if it's raining) - is it 24 hr?

I searched for a tour plan, and the best I could find was a you tube video from last year before Ratatouille opened. Here it is, with my notes of what we'll skip (due to height restrictions, or we've already done it)

1) Crush
2) Parachute Drop
3) Tower of Terror (we'll probably skip this)
4) Toy Story Playground
5) Slinky Ride
6) RC Racer (skip)
7) Studio Tours (skip)
8) Stunt Show (if time)
9) Armaggedon
10) Rock n Rollercoaster (skip)
11) Stars and Cars Parade
12) Aladdin Ride (under construction)
13) Animagique
14) Cinemagique
15) Stitch Live
16) Art of Animation
17) Disney Jr Live (if time)
18) Cars Quatre Rous Rally
19) Studio 1

Where would you try to fit in the Ratatouille ride? It's the only thing that has a fastpass right?

Do you think this will take a full day? I'm debating just getting the 1 park tickets since we were just at Disney World last year. Though I'm sure the kids (5 and 7) would love to do the attractions that are unique to DLP. If I recall correctly it only takes a few minutes to walk from one park entrance to the other. This will be our first attempt at Disney with no stroller. Maybe I should try to convince my husband to spend 2 days there :)

Thank you for any advice you have!

I was unable to purchase tickets online using a U.S. credit card and an Italian address (the Italian site offered the best deal on tickets and I have family who lives there).
I had to call and was told that they could mail the tickets, couldn't get e-tickets by doing it over the phone. I had them mailed to my mom in Italy as she will be traveling to DLP with us in August. The CM asked if I would prefer to have them mailed to me in the U.S., so that is something to keep in mind as well.

They sent me an e-mail confirmation, but we will still need the paper tickets in hand to enter the park.

This was just last week, so I'm unsure as to how long it will take for the tickets to be delivered.

I can't offer any other advice as this is our very first time. Where did you find the crowd calendar? We'll be there at the end of August, so I'm sure it will be super busy!

Best thing to do is to buy your tickets 24 hours before you wish to go either by email or directly in a Fnac while you are in Paris then you don't have to worry about the weather.

If you get etickets they have the barcode which you flash on the FP machines.

Anybody can go into DV and you can make a reservation for Bistrot Chez REmy and cancel it without charge - DLP doesn't take any credit cards or payment for restaurant reservations - lot's of people don't even tell me that they are cancelling they just do a no show.

Crush and Ratatouille both have single rider lines and Ratatouille has the FP - You could send all day in the Studios especially if you want to see all the shows.

Liza, I found the crowd calendar here: http://dlrpr.com/calendar/
Thanks for the feedback!

Carrie, I think I'll just buy the tickets right before we go. Thanks!

As long as you buy them at least 24hrs before you are ok - you just can't buy them on the day - if I' was you I'd avoid the weekend as Spain and Italy are already on holiday and lot's of French families start taking their children out of school early so it can be already busy

I'm also curious about whether the tickets are upgradeable, as we're also going in June and I've already bought our Mini tickets for a weekday.

Buying the tickets online is a breeze. They require an address, and the country field is fixed and unchangeable as France. But you can enter any old address. I entered the address of the apartment we're renting in Paris. But the process doesn't actually use that address at all. As soon as you complete the transaction, you receive an email with a link where you can retrieve and print your ticket. I assume that it works like Disneyland, where they exchange the paper ticket for one that fits in the FP machines. But I won't be able to confirm that until June.

Carrie, thanks for the tip about families taking children out of school early. The week starting Jun 29 shows mid crowd levels and I had wondered why since French schools are still in session through July 3. We will probably buy our tickets about 5 days early since I don't think my in-laws have a printer. But if I somehow run out of time I will make sure to go to a Fnac at least 24 hrs ahead. Thank you!!

You can't change a Mini for a Magic on the day as they are tickets that have to be bought before your visit - You can upgrade at the gate but it's the difference between your ticket cost and the gate price that you'll pay

You keep your eticket and flash the barcode on the FP machine, there's no exchange to a proper ticket :)

Thanks for the information, Carrie. I had assumed that it would apply the price toward a full price ticket purchased at the gate, since as you've pointed out, the Magic would have to be purchased in advance. We're definitely going sometime mid-week (probably Thurs), unless something comes up. But it's good to know that if something does come up, we won't be out the money I paid for the Mini's.

Seems kinda weird to me to keep the print-at-home ticket all day long, and scanning the bar code at the FP machine. Ah well, vive la France!
