We have the 3-month passes from Costco, which we were going to use this winter. But now relatives want to plan an Orlando family reunion next summer. Is there a way to upgrade our tickets to Preferred Annual Passes (w/free parking & food discounts)?

Universal is offering a 2 years from September '07 deal on this AP for $189.95. Is there any way to apply our other ticket purchase to one of these? Or do we wait until we're at the parks? What would it cost?

Thanks for your help! :goodvibes

I think you would just pay the difference to upgrade. You will definately love the discounts throughout the resort. I wish Disney would give park discounts on their AP but.......:sad2:

Did you activate the 3month pass at all? What's Costco's return policy on these tickets? Do you have an option to sell them? Phantom would have more info, I think you are in better luck if the pass is unactivated. Have you given customer service a call or email?

They can be upgraded to annual passes. Just stop at the guest service window outside either park. If you aren't going until this winter, I think the 2 year annual pass deal will be over by that time though. You will probably have to upgrade to just a one year annual pass.

Seriously - I keep forgetting and I pull out my AP like I'm some VIP & they shoot me down every time

Except at DTD for my Goofy's Candy shop rice krispie treat smothered in chocolate and oreos

Thank you all for your thoughts. No, we haven't activated them yet.

Since our first, big family reunion in '96, this is the third time we've heard there would be another one. The other two were unavoidably cancelled, rather late. So I don't want to do anything in advance, like return these tickets. But it's good to know we ought to be able to apply the purchase of them to an AP upgrade when we go next winter, if the family reunion is still on.

Hopefully, we'll either have the option of getting a 2 year AP for under $200 or the 7-day tickets will still be available for $86 and we'll just get those for the summer trip. Thanks again, all!!! :flower3:

I'm in the same boat as you. I didn't activate mine yet either, but I'm betting they are pretty easy to sell. I might call to see what their policy is.
