Upgrade Annual Pass before arriving?

Am I able to upgrade my families AP's before arriving? We are not local, but it would be easier if I can upgrade before I arrive.

I'm thinking no since they have to issue a new color pass, but it would be nice.

We currently have Seasonal Passes and what to upgrade to Power Passes.

I have no idea, you would have to call and ask. It is really not a problem to upgrade while there; if you are staying at a Universal resort you may be able to do it at the ticket desk when you check in. Otherwise, guest services within the parks can also do it and may have a shorter line than outside (unless you are going on a seasonal blockout day and can't get into the park first!)

I have done this in the past over the phone. I went from Seasonal to Premier. My pass scanned correctly at the parking and the gate. ( parking person tried to say no and I politely asked them to scan it anyway, and it worked) I did have to get a new card at guest service, but I did that inside the park.

I did try and call and was told that they can only upgrade over the phone if you are within a month of renewal. I am not so they couldn't help me.

I will call one more time to see if anyone else is able to do it.

Oh sorry, it was a renewal. I figured if they were going to give me 20% off I would upgrade. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t want to take your money.
