Upgrade an Interval traded week with Disney points?

I own at Marriott and Disney. I just traded thru Interval International a week with my Marriott studio for a week at Old Key West in a one bedroom in September. I wanted to possibly upgrade to a 2 bedroom. Can I call Disney and use my points to upgrade my trade to the 2 bedroom?

I used the Marriott week because it was going to expire and was shocked when I picked up the OKW one bd. Any input would be appreciated.

This has come up before from several people trading in. The answer is you cannot pay the difference either cash or points. You could ask at check in but I'd say the chances are about zero of being upgraded. What you could do is get a studio separately and ask they be put together. No guarantees but for Sept and OKW, I'd say you have a good chance of success. Was that the 2-9 or 16-23 week? I know there was a SSR 1 BR for the 16-23 and several different weeks for OKW. I traded for a BWV 1 BR for the 2-9 earlier as we have seasonal passes that expire in Oct.

You should contact MS and let them know to list this as an owners weeks instead of a strict exchange week. Don't forget you still have to pay the extra $95 fee even though you are an owner.

I'm probably not thinking of the obvious, but what do you mean by, and what benefit would there be to, having this shown as a owner's week?

Being recognized as a member when you check in, member charge for phone calls, full members packet on check in, other member perks including movie rentals, etc. Nothing big but it's more the principle of the thing than anything else.
