Updating reservation -cancel moonlight magic?

we have a reservation for Saratoga Springs checking in next saturday 9/9 for 3 people. I need to call and update the reservation and change one of the names.

Will this cancel our moonlight magic reservation for 9/12? We are not adding anyone to the room just changing out a name as someone who was originally coming is no longer able to.

My guess is it will not. That’s because the number of guests on the reservation remains the same. When we went to MM at Animal Kingdom this past July, they didn’t compare ticket names to hotel registration list. Seems would be inefficient and a redundant waste of time.

I am speculating. Eager to hear a definitive answer along with you.

I agree that it shouldn’t mess with your MM reservation.

PS you should be able to change the guest’s names online on the member website, then to update MDE you can do or re-do online checkin. You only need to call MS when changing the primary guest on a DVC reservation.

No, it will not impact it. I had even modified to change resorts and there was no impact to my tickets.
