Updating and Adding Design 12/07

The background really doesn't matter whether it is transparent or white. It actually has more to do with the transfer paper the user chooses to use.

Anything that is 'lack of color' (white or transparent) will be white on a dark transfer and clear on a light transfer. I hope that makes sense.

It looks like you are really getting the hang of it - GREAT JOB!

Thanks so much everyone! I am still "playing" trial and error and a bit of frustration when I am not able to manipulate things the way I envison them But I persist and eventually do something that I make notes to try again later- I also have been starting over and over and over until I can do what I want- or at least close enough to it that I know with more practice I can get it right-

Yes Joanna, I don't know if you saw my post on the previous page- I did figure it out with your help and Dom's- I saved those directions you sent me to Word so I can refer to them as I need to- & I have had to on occassion to remind myself how to resize and such- LOL
Well, a day off tomorrow- running around to do and some printing- I have to get some more ironing done since they are starting to build up- LOL I have been concentrating on designing, I haven't printed and ironed in awhile now-

Here is one I just started playing from scratch and changed all aspects to get this- again, pretty simple but I am so excited that I did it all on my own- Oh! & without any tuts to assist me!!

Oh & it will probably print approx 4 x 5.5 or so as I started w/ an 8.5 x 11 canvas but in the design of the heart I really couldn't get a good size where I could add Minnie on top w/out going off the canvas... Will get that better next time but I figure for a pocket, hat, magnet, or tote bag this is so cute...

Thx so much you guys! I actually started w/ an image of a piece of scrapbook paper - pink w/ white large open chunky flowers and ended up doing the heart frame first- it probably took longest since the size was tricky to be able to leave room for Minnie- (& when I started I wasn't sure where I wanted to add her in)
I used the splatter effect on it afterwards and it made the pink paper look marbled! I loved it! So left it that way- then of course, beveled, contoured, lighting and shadowing until I liked it- and did my text and again did all the same beveling and such so it would "match" the heart and then when I added Minnie- again I did the same so she would "belong" in the design and not look flat- so to speak- I also gave her a drop shadow so she is really in the design-
Minnie is a clipped image I found so I didn't take her from a design which made this a bit easier-
One area I am having a bit of difficulty is getting a selection of something I want to use from one picture/ design/ wallpaper, etc and seperating it from the first picture to use in another...
My lasso tool has a mind of it's own so I will look for tuts on that I guess- LOL

Okay,
This is a cute one I came up with as I was just playing around learning a few filter effects-
I have come to love the distort option against backgrounds! LOL

I also attempted to resize this so it isn't too large here- I think I made it permanently smaller in my phootobucket too- Not sure how well that will print but I have the full size saved in my files...

And this is where I wasplaying around with a "glassy" look w/ a glow on the letters- it didn't turn out exactly as I expected but I am still playing around with it

I am also checking out proper sizing for shirts so this may be bigger

Wow Penny! Thanks so much! I was trying to do something for darrin since he has such a love for Dinosaurs and of course we will be visiting the T-Rex Restraunt when we go in April- It took me forever to think of what to put on as the caption- LOL Thx again- Glad someone likes it!
