:)Ok, so my budget took a hit at some of the decisions recently made - but DW has a good point, what do we have to give up between now and our trip to do all of the stuff we want to do while at the Fort and Disney? the golf cart was most important on her list.

Answer: Almost everything:scared1:

Here is the updated plan:
-I drive down first and check in Fri Nov 19 for ten nights, DW and Kids Fly Down Nov 20. Airtran has direct flights today for $79 one way but Saturday and Sunday only- booking those soon! (waiting to see if Allegiant can get them there Friday for similar cost)
-7 Day Base Park Passes, no park hopper
-Golf Cart - hopefully from tee time
-Hoop De Do (everyone says it is can't miss, so we aren't going to miss it)
-Liberty Tree for Thanksgiving Dinner (seems to get a lot of good review, what about Magic Kingdom on Thanksgiving day - is this an ok choice?)
-Chef Mickey's for a Character Breakfast - $100 for breakfast? Yikes
-Kennedy Space Center

Advantage to kids flying is its less school they miss and actually cheaper since I can expense the gas by tying in a week of work for the drive down and its two less day with a full family in the car!

What are your thoughts on Before Thanksgiving timing versus After? I assume it is busier but locking in the airfare is important to us and kids not missing a couple more days of school is probably a good thing too...I hate crowds though:eek:

Now, what to do on Friday night and Saturday if its just me? Do you think there are any fish in those canals Frank?

This is what you do...on Friday night, go to Trails End and order some take-out fried chicken. Sit on the porch and enjoy a beverage or two while it cooks, then take it back to the campsite to enjoy. Save some of the chicken skin for bait...that's what we caught those fish with.

Have fun! :thumbsup2

Liberty Tree for Thanksgiving Dinner (seems to get a lot of good review, what about Magic Kingdom on Thanksgiving day - is this an ok choice?)

All the parks are going to be crowded for TG day. We normally hit the rides at line drop and ride until it is crowded. Then we just relax, shop, sit down & eat an ice cream cone while we watch the crowds. Do the attractions with shorter lines (Mickey's Philharmonic, Tiki birds, Wedway (TomorrowLand Transit Authority), Carousel of Progress, etc..

I don't (& won't) stand in a line that is over a 40 minute wait (sometimes even less). When the lines get too long, that is when I back to FW, take a good nap, then return later.

Listen to Dave, He's da man !:thumbsup2
Wait,,I do believe his young ladies out fished him :lmao: BUT thats okay,THEY WERE CATCH'N SOME NICE FISH !!
So I would absolutely be wet'n a line, the swimmers should be hitt'n very well at the Fort. Do not buy bait at the Fort, they are not MAGICAL worms,,go to Wally Weird and get the bait.

Or better yet, just try using something from the fridge as bait, hot dogs, watermelon, chicken, ANYTHING (really, try different stuff)
My next trip I'm gonna try Dave's bait rescipe, "fried chicken skin and hot sauce", :thumbsup2
