Help! Not sure if I got misinfo or what But here's the story!
I just called to make the reservation for our last evening (Oct 20) and we originally asked for the Grand Floridian Cafe b/c we want to order the special deserts since it's the last night. CM told me they don't have them there?? And she has us booked in at the castle now instead for a 5:30 dinner b/c we can only get them there (talking about dog bones and the chocolate slipper)

Did I get wrong info??? I really didn't want to do the 2 table service credits at the castle but will if that's the only place to get those deserts!

Did I get wrong info from them???

What exact desserts are you looking for? The Happiest Celebration deserts? Various resturants in WDW have special deserts for the event. Here are some that I found, but beware a resturant may change their menu as well as their dessert menu at any time.
At the Brown Derby: Happiest Celebration on Earth! featuring orange chocolate impression of the Stunt Show Spectacular with pinot noir reduction $8.39

Coral Reef: "California Gold" - Our Tribute to the Happiest Celebration on Earth. California Orange Pudding surrounded by Vanilla Sponge Cake topped with Whipped Cream and Orange Zest $8.00

Le Cellier: Happiest Celebration on Earth Chocolate Whiskey Cake - chocolate cake brushed with whiskey, layered with chocolate mousse, finished with orange marmalade and topped with a "Happiest Celebration" white chocolate wafer $7.99

Rose and Crown Pub: Happiest Celebration on Earth Citrus Trifle - $4.99

California Grill: Happiest Celebration on Earth - Riesling, Rosado and Port Poached Pears with Mascarpone, chocolate sabayon, almond brittle, wine jellies $10.00

Cinderellas Royal Table: Dessert is a Choice of one:
a) Blueberry Buckle served warm with fresh lemon ice cream
b) Chocolate Mousse Cake with chocolate and raspberry drizzle
c) Raspberry Sorbet
I don't think these are "special"

Narcoossee's at the GF: Narcoossee's Expedition Everest - Hazelnut chocolate ganache cake with raspberry, chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream $6.00

Oh, sorry I just reread your question and you said you were looking for the chocolate slipper, that was at CRT untill Jan when they changed dinner there into a fixed price meal, the dessert was as follows -- The Royal Engagement (a chocolate slipper filled with rich chocolate mousse, served on a pillow of angel food cake and a fresh fruit compote)
They did have this desert at the GFC: Happiest Celebration on Earth Sampler (Chocolate Mousse Cake, Tiramisu, Lemon Cheesecake, Key Lime Tart);
but the current menu does not have it listed.

Sorry, I think you missed it. They no longer have it (as of now from what I have found) the CM you talked to is not up to date.

To be honest, even if they did still have the dessert I would not waste the 2 credits if you did not want to eat there. What other resturants are you going to during your trip? maybe we can help you decide another good resturant to go to on your last night. I would recomend the Cali Grill (2 credits though).

Hmmmm ok Then need a suggestion for 1 or 2 more meals - we are a party of 6 that includes dh, myself and our 2 boys (6yo and 12yo) and gramma and papa are coming with us too

So far for our 2 weeks we have:
Chef Mickey's for the 1st dinner
Sci Fi dinner
WCC late lunch before MNSSHP
HDDR
Le Cellier dinner
O'hana Character brekie
Fantasmic dinner pkg at H&V
Beaches and Cream (can't make ressies but 12yo ds really wants to eat there for the ice cream!)
Spirit of Aloha

I'll have 2 credits per person left for sit down - we were really hoping to do Magic Kingdom for the last full day and we have the day before that at Epcot that we haven't booked any meals - we are staying at Saratoga Springs. The last morning I'm not sure yet when we will be getting a flight out but I'm aiming for later in the day.

edited to add: gramma and papa are not very adventurous eaters so wherever we go needs to have something simple and basic for them!

You can order the white chocolate slipper and dog bones still from the GF Bakery. It can only be eaten at the GF however.

Either make a ressie at GF Cafe, 1900 Park Faire, or GF Tea and then seperately order the slipper and dog bones from the GF Bakery to have delievered to one of those locations.

thank you thank you

that's just what I wanted to hear!! :cool1:

BitsnbearsMom, If you will be at MK and are looking for a table service meal you might consider Liberty Tree Tavern. It is an all you care to eat meal, with real basic food, turkey, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, etc. It will be nice for the grandparents too, since it is served family style at your table. They will not have to get up to carry their food back to the table. The character interaction is great and it would be a super end to your fun!
