Has anyone been on the ride since it opened back up? It closes again at the end of the month, I was curious what changes have been made so far.

No major changes have been made so far. The first part of the refurb was a general sprucing up of the current attraction. When it closes again the additions from the movie will be made.

I've heard that the sound system seems a bit better now and the parrot on the outside is gone, but that's pretty much it. It's been reported on the Tell No Tales message board that the parrot will be replaced by a talking skull.

Right now, the changes are barely if at all noticeable. They just did a little painting and prepping more than anything.

I know they prepped the hole for the fog effect. You could see the area if you knew where to look.

They will have a fog effect that will create a very foggy and sort of eery feel after you round the first curve upon launching.

They talking skull and crossbones before the drop is rumored to possibly be in route to be moved to the entrance of the attraction, where the parrot used to sit (yes the parrot is as good as gone)

The ship after the drop will be changed slightly to resemble the Black Pearl and will actually be named "The black Pearl".

New cannon and water effects will be placed in the battle scene

Barbosa will be on the Pearl (confirmed)
Jack Sparrow, though no official locations are released, will be in MULTIPLE locations most likely.

The scene before the drop, where the fog is, is rumored to being touched up and changed slightly as well. This scene will be made slightly more "scary" in nature.

The exterior/entry will have a ship's mast placed out front with a large sail with the attraction's name on it, with a skull and crossbone flag above.
