Well, we do not check out until Tuesday next week, but we had been to so many restaurants in or 5 days here that we felt the need to start our reviews. Here they go.

Breakfast day 1
We ate at Park Fare and had a lovely time. It was probably the best character expereience in quite a while. We enjoyed the atmosphere allthough it is alittle reserved at times, but I guess that is the Grand way. The kids semed to really enjoy it. It wasn't as energetic as Chef Mickeys, but I do feel the food was fabulous. Overall on a scale of 1-10, I give it a 7. 10 for food, 6 service, 9 for adult atmosphere, 6 by the kids.

Dinner Day 1:
California Grille: we had a fabulous time here at the Grill. I really love the atmosphere and the service is phenom. Food was a hit. Sushi is the best on property (IMO)we loved the CAB short ribs, they were as tender as can be and the flavors really dance on your pallet. I love this restaurant and will return before our trip is done. I give this restaurant a overall grade of 9. 10 food, 8 service, 10 adult atmosphere, 5 kids(boy my kids are tough..lol)

DAY 2
BReakfast: Chef Mickeys
overall, we were not impressed. The food was ok at best, service, well we did not get any, but the kids had a blastso we give it an overall score of a 6 with kids bringing up score
food 6, service ??5, atmosphere 7 adults....KIDS said 10

Dinner day 2 (THURSDAY NIGHT)
Welcome home!! Narcoossee's....we got there early and had to wait 15 or so minute for our priority. We started with meeting the assistant manager , I believe his name was Todd. He is a very nice guy but busy. We talked with Chef TJ to see how he was ( I mean we acted like we knew him LOL) he was very receptive and even pointed out the dishes as they came off the line. He made our wait seem like nothing. When we sat we had a great server. He was funny and exciting, his name was Amer. The kids took a liking to his whimsical ways. We started with Crab cakes and Narcoosee chowder (which I just got the recipe from Chef TJ) let me say the whole meal was awesome. I know I am new to this board but I have to tell people that if you dont dine at NArcoossee's you aRE MISSING OUT. gRANTED IT IS VERY NOISY AT TIMES, BUT THE WHOLE RESTAURANT JUST ENGULFS YA WITH ATTITUDE THAT IS GREAT. (sorry hit caps lock) New entrees are on the menu since our last visit and when Chef TJ came around to visit he explained the reason behind his changes. The basics are always there but now he has added some lighter foods for the summer. Our favorite Chilean Sea Bass is back, seared and served with a spring onion and roasted garlic Risotto..Great flavors. Red Snapper dish is great. It is serveed with a light Jicama sald and grilled melon with pesto, on the side of the plate is a light pool of what is sort of a Roasted Pepper sauce almost like a Sofrito sauce as TJ later explained. We also loved the new Scallop set, it is seared and finished with a lemon butter, it is great, served with couscous, wait I stand corrected, my wife points out it is a Summer Garden Vegatable Tabbouleh, (she cheated she took a menu from the restaurant) kids had salmon and filet, filet was bit overcooked for me but the kids loved it. Our friends joined us and they raved also about it. They said that they ate at Flying FIsh the night before and claimed Narcoossee was better. We will advise our opinons after the weekend, we plan to eat at the fish over the weekend while we are in EPCOT area. Dessert, we did the Key Lime Creme Brulee, (Fabulous) my 2 favorites in one dish, Key Lime Pie and Creme Brulee no Graham cracker cruster though...Chef Tj Stopped by our table as he made the rounds and we could overhear other tables around him giving their praises as well. We talked for about 20 minutes and he gave me his busines card so I do not forget his name again (LOL) he talked in great detail about his vision of WDW (all positive, he is like a WDW kid in a mans body living out a dream) my wife even went as far as to say that , he chuckled it off and said how much he did love Disney etc. He is very passionate about Narcoossees and said how he plans on being here for a long time of course joking if they allow him....(WE certainly hope so) he stated that new summer menu just started and it has been a hit. He pointed out the lightness of the dishes and we agreed. He had to go, one of the other section servers stated that a guest wanted to talk with him before they left (hopefully we didnt hog up all his time) he never seemed rushed by anyone, he took the time to speak with the guests and children. I really felt like he enjoys talking with the guests. We saw him on the way out and thanked him and his great crew again. We will probably dine here at least one more time before we leave, but we had to go. Overall 10, food 10++++, Amer SERVICE 10, atmospehere, NOISY but fun 10, kids 10 (they actually loved it, Amer and The Chefs visit helped) that and the water parade as we left.
Friday we are dining at Flying Fish I believe, going to EPCOT now..We will post again at the end of the trip....JUst remember, if you dine at NArcoossees, watch the work as it comes out of the kitchen> Speak with th chefs, they will make your wait worth while, and if you catch it on a night when chef TJ is there,,talk with him you will see the sparkle and his passion pour out..Oh and by the way..ask him for recipes he usually obliges right away...well kids getting antsy..off to EPCOT and TEST TRACK...Before lunch...

Friday:
EPCOT all day, had lunch at the Electric Umbrella. It was decent for fast food. A little pricey.

Friday Dinner:
We ate at Flying Fish. IT was excellent. The servers were a bit more professional than the ones at Narcoossee's and California Grille. The restaurant ambience was very nice. OUr kids, well they did not care for it as much. We both had the Crab cakes, and well to comapre to NArcoossee's is difficult, they are 2 different types of cakes. One is a pan seared (flying fish) while the others are fried. Personally I liked Narcoossee's better but Flying FIsh was Good also. My wife got the Cesar salad, and it was very good. Our entrees were the potato wrapped grouper. I found the fish to be very bland but it had great flavor otherwise. Overall we had a great time and the food was very good.
Overall 8.5 food 9, service 10, ambience 10 adults (Kids gave it a 3) they are tough,,lol

Saturday (We ate off property all day,, went west to Tampa area) Let me just say, you can never compare The Tampa Animal park (B.G) To any Disney park. Disney has them beat hands down. More rides in Tampa, but food and guest service, DISNEY

Sunday
Breakfast at Crystal Palace ( Very good for park buffet)we had a good time. Breakfast was very good. Kids enjoyed it all.
overall 7, food 7, 10 for entertainment

Sunday DInner
Citricos
all we can say is Okay I guess
Food was good, but not what we expected
overall 7, Food, 7, atmosphere 7 (kids were sleeping back in room)

Monday Breakfast
Donalds Breakfastosaurus at DAK
We waited way too long to sit but enjoyed our selves. Kids had a great time. The food was , well it was ok. A bit pricey for what they offered us. We have come here in the past and we usd to remember a better selection. My wifes argues that they had smoked salmon, I do not remember but she insists they did. The servers were not as energetic as they have been in the past. Our server was very funny. Neal did a great job of being a prankster. He even picked on my wife when she got up to go to the bathroom. He was very funny. He accused my kids of taking food and hiding it ...very funny guy. we had a blast and enjoyed ourselves. this will be our last night

MOnday NIght
Well we had to repeat our overall favorite restaurant so we were all set go to Narcoossees' BUt changed our mind last minute and went to Yachtsmen Steakhouse which we really enjoyed also. I feel (IMO) that they are the BEST steakhouse in Disney. We had a great time and enjoyed everything from the salads to the dessert. Not as many details due to I have filled up enough webspace here, LOL. overall 9, food 10, service 7, atmosphere 9, kids 7

Answer some questions:
Penny asked how long on TJ, I think he said a year or so, I know he was there last September, that is when we first met him

Overall we had a great time and cant wait to go again in October. Thanks for listening everyone and I hope you all enjoy Disney as much as we do and did again..Chow for NOw....

Thanks for the reviews! I'll have to put Narcoosees on my list for next visit!

Great review. It sounds like you're having fun. I'll be anxious to read your comparison between FF & Narcoossee's as FF is a spot we never quite get to. Love Narcoossee's though.

How long has the new chef been there?

We really enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner there last November.

Thanks for posting your reviews, glad to hear you enjoyed Narcoosee's so much! :)

Narcoosee's is one of our favorites, if not our favorite. Everyone should try it or they are indeed missing out. We tried Citricos this time and were very very disappointed. Never again.

Narcoosee's, we'll see you next time.
