As many of you know, a few weeks ago we added another server to these boards. As a result, I'm pleased to report that our forums are operating much better than we anticipated. However, along with that, it appears that the increase in server power is also going to be a bit more expensive then we had anticipated. We are going to need to expand both the physical memory on the servers, as well as some aspects of the hardware, and we have to put a more viable backup solution in place to prevent against 'disaster'.
In light of this, I have decided to bring back our Site Sponsors program in hopes of generating additional revenue to offset the cost of these servers. I have had a number of folks suggest that we do this, and I've been working on exactly what I thought the best way to approach this would be. So, below are the various options you have to join as a site sponsor. I do want to make it clear that this is not MANDATORY to use the boards. I have always said that I will do whatever I need to in order to keep the boards (and the site) free of charge for everyone. This is a way for those who are so inclined to help support the site. In response to some feedback I've recieved, I've added another option for sponsors. The new option is Site Supporter. For $19.99 per year, Site Supporters will be given access to a DISboards.com email account as well as having a special icon under their name. This has been updated on the site sponsors page.
