Updated May Hours

I was wondering how many of you on Touring Plans have noticed your crowd numbers changing since the updated May hours came out? Ours didn't change a bit, and I just find that strange. Though I have had issues in the past with them being slow to update with known info before, they did at least put in the new hours on our dates. So not sure if they're sticking to our travel times numbers or still working on it. Did you notice anything?

We're going to be there May 8-14 and I received an update from touring plans for two of our days. The changes were very minor though, I think a couple of the individual park crowd numbers went up (but no more than a point), and perhaps one of the overall day crowd numbers went up. So I'm not that concerned.

Overall I was happy to see the addition of a second Fantasmic show to each night it was already planned at DHS - that allows us to get a later dinner and see the later show.

I am now trying to adjust my DHS day due to this. I wanted to avoid F! crowd and chose the day with am EMH but early closing and now its EMH and 2 F! I think it will be too much.

That sounds like a recipe for a big crowd! I think you're right, try to change it if you can.

True but its the only am EMH and it was a 7 pm closing originally so I was thinking ppl would attempt a day with later hrs and F!. I was able to make a change, switching Mon. EP for Wed. DHS(May 25.) My ADRs were able to switch as well. I hope its a good one but remains to be seen. I went to Monday at DHS but I have a vision of being the day after SWW not being better. Either way, we will have great time (and dh doesnt know the firm plans so he has no idea I changed things yet again)
ETA- Well that plan backfired! I see monday is pm EMH now. Back to plan A and no worries, I cant change it all I can do is enjoy.

TP stuff - I'm going 3-10 of May and I had 2 days slightly adjusted.

I don't think they had to change too much because (*AGHAST*) I think that they forecasted the crowds better than Disney: they had higher numbers for the beginning of May this year than they have ever historically had.

I think this one of those rare occruences that actual bookings catch up to TPs predictions.

This is scary to me. We are going the weekend of Mother's Day and there were no crowds last year. This year it looks to be swamped. Why is it so different?

we have been for Mothers Day at least 6 times in the past 8 years (feel very blessed)
I do not recall ever feeling "heavy" crowds, we were always able to do and see everything we wanted - even scoring some same day ADR's!

We were planning to avoid the Studios on the weekend as we aren't interested in the Star Wars stuff and go Monday. Do they REALLY think DHS will be THAT crowded even during the week when there are no Star Wars weekend activities or is there something else going on we're missing?

It looks like all of May was bumped up. For my week 1-7 they added two F! and boosted the hours for the MK and DHS.

Our DD always loves the Disney Live (now Jr) dance party during EMH, but can't imagine many small kids will make it until 1 AM to participate.

From what I remembered, no. They maybe went up 1 each day- if at all. Those are the same days I'll be there and I didn't have to change much of my information when the new hours came out.

I can give you the changes for the days I'll be there:

May 13 - MK and DHS went frmo closing at 9pm to closing at 10pm

May 14 - AK went from closing at 6pm to closing at 8pm. MK went from closing at 11pm to closing at 1am

May 15 - No change (oddly, I have a WDW hours app for my itouch that says MK closes at 2am? )

May 16 - No change

If you mean Touring Plan numbers you have to subscribe. They used to give out the upcoming month but changed what they give you for free.

According to the actual WDW site, MK does close at 2am on 5/15. EMH from 11-2

No. On the 14th, DHS has the EMH in the morning and Julie clarified the confusion with MK on the 15th. It does close at 2am because of the EMH.
