On fox news they said there was an upated pet food recall list, but I can't find it anywhere.

They also said it had over 100 new pet food on it.

Please help me.

Menu foods was the supplier to all of the brands on recall...all of the recalled foods are listed on their site.

No they aren't. I just checked. The Alpo dog food and the Hills prescription cat food is not on menu foods recall list.

ETA: Hills Pet Nutrition manufacturers Hills Prescription Diet foods, not Menu Foods. Menu Foods does manufacture Hills Science Diet foods.

Meanwhile, Hill's Pet Nutrition recalled its Prescription Diet m/d Feline dry cat food. The food included wheat gluten from the same supplier that Menu Foods used. The recall doesn't involve any other Prescription Diet or Science Diet products, the company said.

It is entirely possible that Menu foods is not listing all related foods for whatever reason (to cover themselves? or just hasn't been updated yet). But the connection still exists.

Right. Hills, Purina and Menu Foods used the same supplier of the wheat gluten. The one from China. However, Menu Foods did not manufacture the dry cat food or the Alpo dog food that was recalled and are not likely to include it on their recall list.

Oh man. We feed our dogs Purina, and I'm just afraid of cross contamination.

I'm am going shopping for gluten free food tomorrow.

So far the only Purina product involved is Alpo Prime Cuts in Gravy Canned dog food. But, I don't blame you for wanting to switch your dogs food. I did the same for our cats. I feed them Iams dry food. But, decided to switch to a premium brand cat food. I just can't take the risk.

Here is a website for dog food analysis. It may help you in your shopping trip.
