I see SOOOOO many posts about Fastpass plus and am still confused, is there a sticky somewhere that summarizes the current situation? I get frustrated reading through scrolls and scrolls and it seems like the info is evolving so even when reading it, I may not be correct now.

My 2 adults, me and my 2 kiddos are planning to stay a week off site in Orlando in end of May/ June 2014, we have old paper tickets. Are all the old paper machines gone for fastpasses? It seems that we don't qualify for ANY fastpasses at all then until we change the tickets and then hope to get fastpasses when we get there which sounds horrible!

If I stay on site for one night beforehand would they be able to change my paper tickets to the new form so that way I can get fastpasses at that point or by then is it too late?

I felt like I knew how Disney worked, we were just there in Nov and the previous July and now I feel clueless and frustrated.

Any pointers for the beginner?

It keeps changing, so a sticky thread wouldn't be helpful at this point.

Paper FP machines are gone. I'll let others help with your specifics.

There should be a sticky with current known facts, but there isn't. Here is a good starting point with a constantly updated first post -- at least, until it was locked...

Once WDW officially ends the "test," all will become clear.

I don't know how to post links, but I have found this thread to be helpful. The OP for it is mesaboy2. This might help get you on your way.

first off since you're staying offsite you more than likely won't be able to book your fastpasses until the day of anyways. As far as converting your tickets over you're probably going to have to do that before entering the park the first day.

See the three links in my signature together for an excellent summary. I know I keep the green one's original post up-to-date, so I happen to think it's pretty darn helpful. ;)

Thanks! I'll have a read.

I think I should earn a technical certificate for figuring this all out! Harder than most the classes I take : )
