My grandpa just came out of surgery and the doctor says he's doing great. They didn't put him fully under but did a "Twilight" so he comes in and out of consciousness. They say he should be fully coherent in 15-20 minutes. I'm so relieved and ever so blessed. I want to visit him soon but I just don't know when would be a good time.

Glad to hear he is doing well.

Awesome!! Have fun Wednesday night, wish I could be there.

And yes, CRAP! for the weather. I was hoping to get away from the heat for a few days but I guess that's not going to happen.

I know how grateful you are your grandfather is better, prayers answered!

Is everyone all packed? I'm getting there. If only I had a monkey butler to help me.

What are three things everyone is looking forward to on this trip?
Here's mine..
1. Spending time with my friends who live oh so far away.
2. Watching my mom's face when she see's all the fall decorations around the park!
3. Having a quiet moment at the happy chatter of the birthday party to look at the smiles on everyone's faces.

I can't wait to see you guys and spend some time with my girls!

I know - that's why I love the times we can play together! I have the BEST picture of him from last year (when the aliens first took over my child ) at Disneyland. He's on the Teacups (my fave!!) and he actually has Mickey ears on and is just laughing, having so much fun...... I don't see that quite so often right now, so I love the picture (I had it put onto a mug so I can remind myself that my child is still there, someone )

I can so relate. Sometimes Tay looks at me like I have a second head popping out and can't believe that I belong to her. Then there are those times when we just have fun and enjoy being together.

I'm not prepared at all for this trip, someone please come help me!!!! So tired.

For those who are wanting to meet to see the Billys on Saturday, please remember that we are going to meet at 1:30 to grab seats for the show. Then we'll have an hour to take turns holding tables and going on rides, potty breaks, food runs, etc.

My Son just came and carried all the boxes and suitcases downstairs for us. He's so good to help , we don't want to risk Bob's back going out. It was this time last year we ended up spending 11 days in a hotel because he hurt his back and couldn't walk.

So if this storm goes away we can pack the tahoe. If not we will do it tommorow before we leave at noon.

I'm really behind in the threads, been busy. So excited about seeing everyone soon.

I was wondering about that too..... The early group will be out of there before the fireworks start obviously - are you watching them from your F! seats and having dinner at the Plaza? The later group, if we stay at the Plaza Inn for the fireworks, how are we going to fight through the masses to go to our seats in time for the 10:30 p.m. show?? I know that walking WITH the crowd it took forever to get out of that area to Main Street. How bad is it going to be going AGAINST the crowd???

That was one reason some of us did not want to do the late seating. When I was with Heather and Vicki and Mr CA, it was overwhelming the crush of the crowd (so much so that we left).

Yes, the whole point of the early F! seating was to get to stay in our seats o comfortably watch the fireworks immediately after. We'll also still have our hot beverage service and can finish any desserts then. (dinner at Plaza will be before all this).

And just a reminder to all those attending Miss Sally's birthday party lunch and Wine County Trattoria lunch - PLEASE bring cash so when we pay it is easy. They subtotal each patron so we know exactly how much each person/group owes. Thanks and I can't wait to see everyone and meet new Disser's!

Guess who has her normal travel jitters and thought it would be really neat to sleep from 12 to 4? Coffee will be my best friend today, as I have to work for a meanie from 9-1, and then I am getting picked up and taken to the airport. My plan lands at John Wayne in 11 hours!!!!!

I guess I also have the pre-travel excitement bug today as both Ty and I woke up way earlier than usual this morning even though we don't leave until tomorrow morning! I should be using this time to pack since I haven't done that yet and need to work late tonight, but instead I'm surfing the web and watching cartoons with Ty so as to not wake up Dave with my packing process.

I have pretty much everything packed and then tomorrow I will switch out my purse and go to the bank and get my money and everything. I wish we could leave earlier cuz the girls get out of school at 1:45 but we have to wait till shane gets off work at 5 Then our plane doesn't leave till 7:30. But so be it. I just can't WAIT to get there and see everyone!!! Can't believe it is FINALLY here!
