Hi, Ladies!

I'm afraid I did not have my act together and will miss out on most of the October action, but I sure would like to join in on the Feb./March trip!

My dd and I will be at DLR Oct 22-24, staying at Hojo's. We originally planned just a quickie trip down to activate my ap before the 31st, but we were able to add a second night after a lot of watching for an opening at one of the 2 hotels at which we had reservations (DLH and Hojo). Since we thought we'd only be staying the night of the 22nd, we booked it for the ToT party. When we were able to get a hotel for the second night and change our air ressies, we booked BB for dinner on Fri. We don't seem to have much time in common with the group's reservations so I don't know whether or not we'll see you!

I will post on the other thread for the big meet in Feb/March. DD and I would be very interested in sharing a GCH concierge room with 2 others...about the only way we can afford it ! The extra food is soooooo nice, and assuming there are some decent rates at that time, cost shouldn't be too bad, relatively speaking

That is wonderful that you want to join us for the annual Diva meet in Feb/Mar. I know what you mean about the concierge level food/beverages and rooms at the Grand CA. DD & I experienced it for the first time with Fairykin and Toocherie last month. We are doing a combo stay - first 2 nights at Hojo's and next 3 nights at the Villas (yes, I bought in), but I think some ladies are staying onsite, or at least are waiting for some awesome AP rates to come out to book.

Anyway, again, welcome to the group and hope to meet you in two weeks.

Just dropping in to say "I've started packing!" I've also been hitting refresh on an internet window with various rental car rates waiting for them to hit bottom. They're definitely dropping but I'm hoping for Budget because I've got a gift certificate to use with them and a free upgrade. So excited and only a few more days until we leave.......

I have a suitcase out that I am tossing things into as I find them. I am going to be working straight up until we leave for the airport, so I'm trying to get a little ahead of the game!

I'm REALLY glad we have this mini meet coming up. I need something to keep my mind busy (aside from schoolwork) and my heart upbeat.


For those of you who aren't on the girls only trip thread, my dog died yesterday after escaping from the backyard and running into a main street. She wasn't even two years old.

So having this mini meet coming really helps keeps me from allowing myself to sit here and just feel sad.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. Sending you hugs from Kansas and looking forward to meeting you soon! I've been reading this board and others tonight and seeing reports of exceptionally high crowds for this time of year. Hoping we're a little more fortunate when we get together in a few more days.

I agree with you Cristabel, we all need this trip. I know I do. I think the crowds on Friday and Saturday will be crazy. They say Fridays are the worst and hopefully we'll all be at DCA enjoying the ToT party and not in the sardine can at DL!

Now that I am home from Vegas, I can start packing for Disney!! Woo hoo!!

I need to get our costumes done. My skirt is almost done, and Kaitlyn's is getting there. It's so cute, and polka dotty!!

The weather - this week it may rain in the middle of the week. Suddenly fall, it's in the mid 60s. Then, for the weekend, it's going back up to 80!

So I'm curious about Anaheim on our trip but I'm guessing it will be pleasant but maybe a bit chilly in the evening.
