My thanks to many of you, especially MiaSRN62 and Bella the Ball 360, for your encouragement and counsel regarding Sheraton Vistana Resort and my paranoia about the quality of accommodations there.

You are more than likely right that everything would be fine--and perhaps more than fine with all the space, etc. But, as it now turns out, space has opened up at the Poly for the front side of our vacation and so we are adding 3 nights at the Poly--honoring the pin code rate I used to book the original Poly nights.

So, in the end, I will have just one night at Sheraton Vistana Resort--which I will use as a good scouting opportunity for future lodging potential. I see it as a win-win.

I know most, if not all, of you are likely shaking your heads regarding my level of concern about the Vistana. And for good reason. Maybe I'll learn to be more mellow and go with the flow in future years--but for now, this is the way I have to go.

I won't blame you if you laugh at me. But I guess I'm happy with the end result.

hey love the Polyn and like Sheraton Vistana Resort - they are both really nice.

you are paying about 6 times what you would have paid for SVR, right?

if you have the money and can afford the Polyn - then go for it!

it's 3 extra Poly nights at 40% off basic rates...

Still, you are right. I am definitely spending considerably more for the Poly "privilege." Wise move or unnecessary splurge? Ask me at check out time.

understand completely - stayed offsite at CLBV once so could surprise mother with the Polyn on her birthday.

paid more for that one night than the prior 5 nights.

YOu know once I stayed at Liki Tiki and the rooms were IMHO disgusting. I was "gun shy" after that and I totally understand your concern. I am glad you are staying one night at Vistana AND I really wish you would check out Vistana Village (if you are staying at vistana they most likely will let you visit) for your next trip. I totally understand...you want what you want and I too would be leary but when you see both I think you will give up on the poly. I also suggest you ask to see the two bd rim at VV. While I like Visntana I LOVE Vistana Village. It might take you a half hour or so to check it out but you will not be sorry for the next time you get a deal from Sheraton.

Have a great trip I am on my way to Vistana this Sat.

Look at it this way...you are paying more for peace of mind. Nothing wrong with that!
