Update parkhoppers to annual passes still?

Am I able to buy a 3 day hopper and go to Disneyland over the Thanksgiving break where it would normally be blacked out, and use a magic morning and then on the last day upgrade to a deluxe annual pass when it is a day that would be blacked out? Years ago I remember you could, but it has been ages...

Yes, as long as you upgrade before the end of the last day of your hopper.

You might need to ask for a special ticket/pass that will allow you to continue going in the parks the day you upgrade.

On the day of purchase, renewal, or upgrade to an AP the pass is not blocked if it would normally be.
