Friends, I just talked to Jennifer, EGs_dd2 to check on Sophie's condition. It's not really good. They did an EEG today and found that she has lower brain activity which controls involuntary movement. But the only upper brain activity was seizures. The upper brain controls voluntary movement like moving your legs and opening your eyes. She is still on a respirator.

Jennifer said that Lynda and Mike were overwhelmed and comforted by the support from the boards and thanked all of us for our prayers.

Lynda and Mike are praying for a miracle. I think we can all join in that prayer.

I will pray for her, but I though she was doing better. Guess you just don't know. What a sad thing. The poor family. Will keep them all in our prayers.

Thanks for the update.

Thank you so much for keeping us updated.
I will be praying for that miracle.

While we are all praying individually may I offer a suggestion? In addition to our individual prayers why don't we set aside a time that we all uplift Sophie in prayer together, Saturday morning at 8:00 am CT zone (This time is for information sake, we would need enough time to spread the word.) Another suggestion would be to do a 24 hour prayer vigal where everyone signs up for a time that they can dedicate to praying for Sophie. I've been thinking about this for days and am not sure really how to get it started. Anyone have any ideas?

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing ye shall receive. Matthew 21 : 22

Thank you for the update. I too can not stop thinking about Sophie. I have added 2 angels to my signature on here to watch out for her and will be praying for her everyday. Please keep us posted with any information that you find out, it is greatly appreciated.

Definately adding prayers for the sweet little baby.

Oh this poor family. If Sophie doesn't pull through, I cannot imagine what will happen to the father. This is just awful. I am praying for all of them.

Have been praying for her many times a day since Sunday and continuing to do so.

While I sometimes struggle with "Not my will, but Thine, O Lord" it seems too much for th family to bear to possibly lose this precious little child after already losing two beloved ones.

Let's hope our collective prayers can help that miracle happen.

:worried:

Thanks for the update. So very sad and heartbreaking to hear baby Sophie condition. We have not been able to get this poor family off our minds and my entire family is praying. They have been put through a terrible test by already losing their precious daughter and grandchild. Let us pray that Stophie feels our strength and God provides a miracle for this little angel and her family ^i^.

Prayers on Sat 8am is a great idea.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/17/17_1_10.gif' border=0></a>

God Bless!

Honeychild, I think a group prayer time is a great idea, 8 am Saturday it is. But with as many of us as there are on the boards, one specific time might be difficult. As we go about our days, how about we all take a few minutes to say a prayer at the top of each hour that we're awake? That way there will be planned prayers going up almost around the clock.

Mississaugamom, I can understand the struggle with the "not my will..." but that's where faith comes in. We don't understand, we just trust.

If anyone has another idea, please share it.

We have had a lot of miracles at our church because of " ferverent prayer". (I hope that's how you spell it!) Just keep praying!

I'm saddened by this news but I'll be praying that she starts to show some positive progress very soon.

How very sad. We are all pulling for a miracle for Sophie!

Everyone should all say throughout the day "Come on Sophie, you can do it"

Please keep us updated, everyone involved is in our prayers. I'm passing the word to my friends around the country to pray for her.

Will keep Sophie and family in my prayers, such heartbreaking situation hopefully a miracle can come out of this. Children are a gift from god.
