I don't know how many of you remember when I posted back in October that my house was burned down in the Cedar Fire (the one that went throught Scripps Ranch in San Diego and burned like 350 homes). I just wanted to update you guys on what has been going on.

The homeowners in our area have approved the plans for our new custom house. Now all we need is a permit from the city to build on the land again and we are good to go. The architect said that the new house should be done by December of this year. My family is living in a rental home in Scripps Ranch while I attend school in Pomona. They are doing good financially, and emotionaly as well. Everyone is pretty excited for the new house to be built.

Some specifics of the house:
*5000+ square feet
*3 Car garage
*6 bed/4 bath (1 bed and 1 bath is an extra master bedroom for guests on the first floor)
*The bedroom that my little sister and I are going to share have a little juliet balconey, our own bathroom, and a walk-in closet
*The kitchen/dinning room/living room is all open like one big room, seperated by low walls

It is kind of hard to explain, but I wanted to tell everyone what was going on with me.

Oh Maggie, I am so glad to hear that you and your family are doing ok. I was so sorry to hear about your home. How exciting that you guys have plans for a new home. It sounds great! Thank you for letting us know how you are doing! :)

That's sounds wonderful. Can I move in with you? So teriffic that after such devastation, you have something beautiful to look forward to. Continued luck to you.

Norah said that I should post the pics of the house while it is in the process of being built, and I was already planning on doing that. I heard that there are some houses that are close to being rebuilt, but because we wanted to design a new one, it took us longer.

I think that is a great idea, Maggie! I look forward to seeing the pictures. :)

Maggie, that new home sounds wonderful!!! I would love to see pictures of it!!!!
