First, thanks to all for the good wishes. It seems that my face hit the wall with such force that I have a damaged nerve. Fortunately, it doesn't affect my talking or eating. It is only noticable when I make a big grin or an exagerated "e" expression. The doctor said that there is no way to determine if it is permanant or if it is just bruised. It might take up to 9 months to find out. I'm just feeling really lucky that I didn't break my jaw (OR my neck! )
I have to say that I'm being really cautious on the stairs! I hate to see what I'm like when I am a senior citizen, I'll probably have "stair phobia." LOL!

I hope it's just "bruised" and regenerates itself pretty soon.

I'm sure glad you weren't seriously injured in that fall.

Oh I must have missed that! but glad you are ok and am hoping no permanent damage....
I slamed my head against the wall (slipped on a floor with wet shoes) and my ear and side of my head are still tender!...and that was 9 months ago!...so take care!

I didn't see your original post. But I sure hope that you are going to be ok! HUGS!!!

I didn't see your original post either. I want to add my good wishes for a full and speedy recovery. I hope that it doesn't hurt too awfully bad. :(
