Update on coffeemakers at AKL?

Hi everyone,

We leave in 3 days! I read some posts a few weeks ago about new coffeemakers going into the rooms, the kind with pods. I always bring my own coffee and I need to know if I have to go out and buy the pod kind. If so, are there differences in the pods from various companies? I've never used them before.

Or is the coffee provided in the rooms at WDW decent now? We'll be in a pool view room at Jambo, so if anyone is there now or has been very recently, I would love an update!

I would just assume that they changed all the coffeemakers in all the deluxe resorts to the pod-type. They do provide you with some, it's not bad, but if you want to bring your own just buy the Senseo brand of pods. Senseo coffee is very good, I like the dark roast.

anyone have pics of the new machines? Also pics of the actual Pods so we can see what to buy? I usually bring our own filters and coffee, also have a keurig so we could bring K cups but this doesn't sound like either We are going in April so I'm sure we'll hear lots more about these before then

agh..I was just there and didn't take a picture but the coffee maker is a 2 cup dispenser (place the coffee cup under the dispenser) it is a Cuisinart looks like this

it takes tea bag size coffee pods..I think Senseo and Starbucks make them

I tried the coffee in my room at AKL last week and it was surprisingly good.

I thought it was pretty good. They give you enough for 3 cups but I am sure if you ask for more, they will give it to you. It comes with Splenda and Sugar and Carnation creamer

thank you thank you thank you!!!!! to all that have posted the pics and info! Now if I can fit a disposable coffee cup under there I am good! Not the styrofoam kind, but we do not use those mugs that they provide yuck. We are staying in a Studio, so I hope they have the same and will give me MORE coffee so I won't go 10 days with a major headache
