From WorstPreviews.com:

On the ABC half-hour special The Backlot Buzz, brand new footage from the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures film "The Princess and the Frog" was presented. The footage not only shows Disney's return to hand-drawn animation, but also the movie's villain, who is a witch doctor.

The new movie is a musical set in New Orleans, the legendary birthplace of jazz. Audiences will be introduced to the newest Disney princess, Tiana (Anika Noni Rose), a young African-American girl living amid the charming elegance and grandeur of the fabled French Quarter. From the heart of Louisiana's mystical bayous and the banks of the mighty Mississippi comes an unforgettable tale of love, enchantment and discovery with a soulful singing crocodile, voodoo spells and Cajun charm at every turn.

"Princess and the Frog" is directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, whose past work includes "The Little Mermaid," "Aladdin" and "Hercules." At this point, their new movie is scheduled to be released on December 11th.

This looks like it could be the best movie coming out of Disney animation in a long while. It's good to hear that it's being directed by the people who did Aladdin and Hercules. I can't wait.
