update: Labradoodle post...everything happens for a reason:)!

Well...many of you know. I had posted a week or so back that I was researching a dog for a family pet. I had looked and read up on labradoodles and we were totally enthralled w/the idea of getting one BUT the cost was astronomical (well over $1,000 for a puppy?)

Yesterday, on a whim..we were out running errands (myself and my future spouse) and we stopped at the animal shelter to look around (we haven't been there in years). Welllllllllllllllllllllllllll.......I got a dog out. Her name was Lucy and she is all black, short haired and looked to have lab in her. Her personality was great and I fell in love. We waited until my boys came home from school and we took them back to meet her to get their approval (and to see if she clicked w/them like she did us). Weelllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll.....it was a match made it heaven! Everyone fell in love with Lucy. She is 4 months old and was impounded from a drug house (they thought) and she LOVES attention and loves to be by your side. She sits...not too bad on the housetraining thing and she listens to all commands quite well and she does NOT shed! We brought her home yesterday evening and have had such a great time with her. We all love her to death and she seems SO appreciative to have a new home and 4 people that love her so much.
