UPDATE/He is doing GREAT!....My Brother received a Kidney last night!

My Brother received a Kidney last night, he has been on dialysis for 4 yrs, The hospital called and they had a Kidney for him! Within 4 hrs of the call he had his new kidney.

He can't wait to get back to Disney and not have to do any dialysis treatments. We are all so excited. He is doing Great! The kidney started working immediately.

Just had to share the good news!!!

UPDATE!!!!Thank You all once again for the Prayers and Well Wishes! They took my brother out of CCU he is off the oxygen, He is eating and all is well again!
The Doctors are saying the Pneumonia and all the fluid with a bad reaction to the anti rejections meds that was the low oxygen problems. He is clear and free of any problems from that now. His Kidney is working great and he is breathing all on his own!

That is so fantastic!!! My grandfather passed away a couple of months ago. He had a kidney transplant about 34 years ago from my great-grandfather, so his kidney was actually 103 years old. His kidney was still going strong right up until his death (cancer was the cause of his death). We have hereditary kidney disease in our family, so kidney transplants hold a special place for me. I wish your brother the very best in his recovery!
