Anyways, I called back and was told that bands would not be shipped to Canada. You will pick them up at your resort.

Just FYI....yes you can track UPS shipments between the US and Canada...I do it all the time.

Disneylover99...sure sounds like no one know for sure at WDW knows if the MB's get shipped to Canada since you and I clearly have been told two different things when we called.....very frustrating.

My tracking number as well isn't working.

Well if they are being shipped to Canada by UPS, they should be here today or tomorrow right?

Yeah, that's exactly my thought.....Friday at the latest.....so if not, then hopefully we will get them at our resort.

Disneylover99...sure sounds like no one know for sure at WDW knows if the MB's get shipped to Canada since you and I clearly have been told two different things when we called.....very frustrating.

Did both of you, Geodoc and Disneylover99, rely on Tunnelbear or something similar to get your MDE access, etc.?

I'm wondering if some of the confusion at Disney's end about shipping MBs to Canada has to do with them not expecting any Canadian residents in the "setup the MBs and FP+" pre-arrival testing groups - at least at this stage. They are keeping the MDE site blocked to international guests for some reason, maybe that's part of it.

Anyway, I hope your customized bands get to you and that each of you has a great vacation (and testing experience)!

For me I have been accessing MDE via iPhone/iPad app. It has never been blocked and we were able to link all our reservations and customize the Magic Bands with it.
At the end of the day......I expect we will get the MBs at the resort as I think the shipping to Canada answer I got over the phone was incorrect.

I do use Tunnelbear to access the MDE sight but I also use the IPad app that is available to anyone.

I think you've made a very good point about Disney's confusion about shipping the bands. I'm not sure if any Canadians actually received an official invitation to customize the magicbands and make fastpass selections.

Gee, I wish I had seen that message. Yesterday mine showed as shipped to me. Today it shows nothing. It does tell me I have four bands I can manage, but we should have 5. Kinda worrisome! I am not linking tickets right away as we are doing a split stay with offsite first. I guess I will link them the night before we check in. I hope I see all 5 in my friends and family list by then though.
 
I have 2 sets of bands coming. One email said they were being shipped and the other said they would be waiting at or resort. I have a feeling the resort answer is the right one.

The good thing is now MDE has been updated and shows our correct colour bands and correct names.

1 week from tomorrow and we'll know for sure!

Well, I'll be ... While Using the DIS app on my iPad, I clicked on a link to the MDE experience website in a post and It actually brought me there.

But that's not all ...

Iwas able to sign in and, get this, ALL my address info and even my DVC affiliation showed up! There was a Magicband tab, but nothing is linked.

I selected a character then logged out of the site and into the app. Character carried over, but not the address info or DVC affiliation. Oh well.

Still not sure convinced I should try to link reservations, but access to the site is progress! (I tried the site again from Safari, and it worked. Guess I'll test the computer in the morning.)
 
I've be using MDE on the app for a few weeks now, but tonight checked I was able to login to the Disney site and use MDE on my computer! Maybe this is because my trip is coming up in 10 days, or because I'm part of the MagicBand testing.. I have no idea!
 
Woke up this morning and noticed that I have access to the new American version of the Disneyworld site including the My Disney Experience tab. I didn't have to use Tunnelbear etc.

Are any other Canadians seeing this?

Yup....I'm on the American site without Tunnelbear.
