UPDATE post #76

So my DD6 comes home from school with a birthday invite...

Its a party....drop off promptly at 10am .... for a limo ride to the party...

I am:scratchin: and DD is:yay:...
if this is first grade what comes later???

(BY the way DD6 bday is in a couple of weeks and now she wants a limo...hahahah I don't think so:rotfl2:)

Sounds like a spoiled brat to me.

I've never been in a limo and I'm 20. Wth.

Silly girl.. Everyone knows the answer to that.. It's a private jet - for the kids 13th birthday.. Get with the program..:rotfl:

Unless someone in the family owns a limo company and I don't know it....
it is over the top...

We do live by one of the busiest corporate airports in the country...
you never know...

I love it and I'm going to look into one of those for dd's next b-day (12). She is dying to ride in a limo.

I don't think its over the top compared to any other party. I mean we parents spend tons of money on bowling, or building stuffed animals or movies, whats the difference here :confused3

Just wait till the little darling starts planning the wedding! :scared1:

To each his own.....personally I prefer to save limos for extra special occasions like Proms or Weddings...

I think it is too much! My son was invited to a limo ride party this year. The thing that really irritated me was that they drank "sparkling cider" as they were riding around. Do we really want to teach our kids that fun is riding around in a limo pretending to drink alcohol.

Seriously? I buy my kids sparkling juice for Christmas and New Years. :rolleyes1 They think of it as a fun treat not an alcohol substitute.

I guess I consider my dd's birthday an extra special occasion.

OK it sounds like a blast.... over the top...(IMO) but I am sure the girls are going to love it....

Just curious if you are going to let your dd go?

Of course......Why not...
but DD will have to settle for a simpler party... LOL roller skating or such...

I think that is a drink that is portrayed as a champagne look a like.

4th grade and the event was to look at Christmas lights.
Thats kind of neat...
It hurts at prom time to pay for hours of limo when the kids are hardly in it!!

LOL
At least they got to enjoy the ride... I hear what you are saying about the sparkling drink....kind of a champagne substitute....
