Upcoming trip to DCA and DL March 16

We will be at the parks (our second time)on March 16 & 17. We are staying at the Fairfield Inn across the street and wondered if we are better off walking to the parks or using the hotel shuttle service?
Are we going to encounter huge crowds at both parks? We will be there on a Friday and Saturday.
What is the best discount for park admission?
Anything else we need to keep in mind?

Walking or riding depends on your physical abilities, how tired you are after the day is over, and the amount of people that happen to be leaving your hotel when you are.

You will encounter huge crowds, get ready to be very patient.
