Unwrapped: Disney World?? On Food Network

My FH and I were flipping through the channels and saw one of our favorite shows on the Food Network, Unwrapped, did a special on Disney World! Mmmmmmm everything looked so delicious and we got some ideas of where we want to eat while we're there. Did anyone else see this show? I'm sorry if there's another post about it, I didn't see anyone mention it.....

And I think we'll definitely have to get a dove bar shaped like Mickey and a turkey leg!!

ALSO--I just wanted to say HI ALL and that I'm new and glad to see that everyone is so friendly... why shouldn't you be, we're going to DISNEY WORLD! hehe I've been to some other "bride" boards and they are just... hmmm... kind of catty. Glad to see a bunch of people who are *happy*

I have also found that to be true (on other sites of course) but this is a very happy, supportive group of ladies (and a few of the guys too!)

See the show??? I was IN the show!!! Well, for a brief 3 seconds anyway...lol. The part about Chef Mickey's, there's a quick flash of an encounter with Goofy. The gal in the white bridal hat...that was me! My 3 second claim to fame...

This board is so much fun to be on. I love to look at everyone's pictures and hear all about their FTW's. DH and I were married in Orlando, just not at Disney. So I live vicariously through all of the Disney Brides here!

OMG, I think I saw you! My FH and I were watching and I was like, SEE! People really do wear the hats around! How exciting, you were on national tv. It was filmed a couple of years ago, wasn't it? Did you get to meet Mark Somers (sp?)?

And, thanks for everyone for being welcoming! So fun to hear about other people's honeymoons and trips. I'm getting so excited I just can't stand it!

No...we didn't get to meet him and it was filmed right around Sept 11, 2002! We were eating at Chef Mickey's the morning of 9/11/02 and as we were leaving, Goofy decided to make a big production out of my hat and ring and stuff. We thought nothing of it and as we were leaving, we kept hearing someone shouting "Bride and Groom! Bride and Groom!" We turned around and it was someone who was filming for the show and she explained how they caught our encounter on tape and wanted to know if they could use it for the show. We signed the waivers and stuff and didn't even think twice about it...the show aired about 6 months later, I think.

Every time it's on, I crack my husband up with "Look!! Did you see me? Wait! Let me rewind it!!" He thinks I'm certifiably nuts...lol

OoOoh!! I saw it! I TiVoed it! I swear, I probably watched it 100 times. After we booked and found out more about the Wedding Pavilion, I got even more excited!

The hat that I wore was made by my wonderful DH! He created it using the hat that says "Bride" from David's Bridal and a veil we found on clearance. He used a Minnie Mouse headband as a template for the ears and glued those on himself!

Disney does sell their own bridal ears...in the form of a headband, I believe.
